VIEW ADDITIONAL IMAGE Iredell Eye Center Iredell Eye Center, located in Statesville, NC, presented many interesting challenges throughout the construction process. Designed by Colin Lichtenstein and Associates, Architects, the 22,500 square foot building was completed in 1998. Due to poor soil conditions and flood plain issues, the building was built on pile foundations with a composite floor slab providing a crawlspace allowing upright working conditions and mechanical access. Laser surgery and computer requirements demanded an extensive UPS and emergency generator system. The HVAC zoning was accomplished with multiple water based heat pumps and an elaborate energy management system. Designed by Colin Lichtenstein and Associates, Architects, the 22,500-square-foot building was completed in 1998. “As a native of Statesville, I have known the Wilsons personally for many years.
