Facets: Hughes Supply

Huntersville, NC

The scope of work for the Hughes Supply renovation project in Huntersville, NC, included various demolition and installation tasks. The project involved removing partial-height walls in the display areas, dismantling partition walls, bulkheads, and shower display fixtures. Decorative wall panels and a bathtub were also removed, along with all restroom ceilings and flooring. Additionally, restroom partitions, fixtures, cabinets, counters, and showers were taken down. In the showroom, acoustical ceilings and cabinets were dismantled according to the provided details. The removal of four windows, the storefront door, and the window above the entrance door was completed as well. Office carpet and tile were removed in areas designated for office expansion.

New vanity cabinets and countertops were installed in the showroom, with the owner supplying the cabinets, countertops, and restroom sinks.

The electrical work for this project involved significant enhancements to the lighting showroom. It began with the demolition of existing lighting and a complete rework of electrical systems to accommodate an open ceiling design. Finally, approximately 100 fixtures were installed in the showroom using the existing lighting circuits. This labor-intensive process was crucial in transforming the space into a visually appealing and functional environment.
