Salisbury & Mocksville, NC Gildan Salisbury & Mocksville, NC Gildan Yarns was a complex multiphase manufacturing project spanning two sites in different counties. Phases I and II included a 440,000-square-foot renovation and addition to an existing plant in Salisbury, NC, as well as the construction of an auxiliary plant (650,000 SF) at the same site. Phase III in Mocksville, NC, covered the construction of a 750,000-square-foot plant. All facilities included sophisticated under-slab mechanical systems, which advanced foundations and trenching components to the scope of work. Design/Build by G.L. Wilson Building Company. "G.L. Huntersville, NC Facets: Hughes Supply Huntersville, NC The scope of work for the Hughes Supply renovation project in Huntersville, NC, included various demolition and installation tasks. New vanity cabinets and countertops were installed in the showroom, with the owner supplying the cabinets, countertops, and restroom sinks. The electrical work for this project involved significant enhancements to the lighting showroom. It began with the demolition of existing lighting and a complete rework of electrical systems to accommodate an open ceiling design. Finally, approximately 100 fixtures were installed in the showroom using the existing lighting circuits. This labor-intensive process was crucial in transforming the space into a visually appealing and functional environment.

Mooresville, NC blueharbor bank: Mooresville Mooresville, NC MOORESVILLE HEADQUARTERS Completed in 2018, the corporate headquarters of blueharbor bank is a three-story office building in Morrison Plantation, Mooresville, NC. blueharbor bank was a design/bid/build delivery, and ESD Architecture completed the design. The Morrison Plantation site housed the original bank building, which remained in operation during the new bank’s construction. The project was split into two phases to transition seamlessly from the old facility into the new one. Phase one consisted of constructing the new building, and phase two revolved around demolishing the original bank. "G.L. It was designed by HSMM of North Carolina and constructed by G.L. Wilson Building Company. Kristin is an active board member of the Iredell County Human Resource Association and Iredell County Crosby Scholars.

He earned a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Math and Business at Wake Forest University. As a CPA and a Certified Internal Auditor, he has experience in financial reporting, investment portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, and internal auditing. Edwin has served in Rotary and Kiwanis clubs in North Carolina communities.

Robert came to G.L. Starting as a Project Manager, Robert has moved into a leadership role to oversee company operations in the field. Outside of the office, Robert is an involved member at Broad Street United Methodist Church, a member of the Iredell County Planning Board, and enjoys spending his free time outdoors with friends and family.

Thomas likes to say that his first job with G.L. Wilson was mowing grass as a kid. When he returned, he and his brothers grew the business to include completed projects in twenty-six states. Tom graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Civil Engineering with a Construction Option. He is the qualifier for the General Contractor licenses in numerous states. He continues to contribute to the community by actively serving on the boards of directors of a variety of institutions and charitable foundations. Tom is a recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine from Governor Roy Cooper.

Julia graduated from NC State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and is licensed as an Architect in North Carolina. Julia serves in leadership positions on several local Non-Profit Boards, enjoys traveling, artistic endeavors and spending time with family.

Statesville, NC Fort Dobbs Statesville, NC The Friends of Fort Dobbs, a non-profit organization that supports the Fort Dobbs State Historic Site through memberships and donations, had long desired to bring the 1756 French & Indian War Fort to life for visitors to experience. Their vision was finally realized in 2016 when G.L. Wilson Building Company broke ground for the reconstruction of Fort Dobbs. Constructed with local White Oak timber donated by community members, the imposing wooden structure was completed in September 2019. Each log used was cut down to size, hand-hewn by master craftsmen, notched, and placed. The fort features historically accurate hardware, a stone fireplace, a cedar shake roof, and modern safety features subtly integrated into the design. Design/Build by G.L. Wilson Building Company. For his contributions and leadership in the project, Tom Wilson, Sr. received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine award, the highest honor North Carolina’s governors can grant.
