Statesville, NC Oakwood Middle School Statesville, NC This extensive middle school renovation, designed by FWA Group, spanned 71,176 square feet of existing structures. The scope of work included complete renovation of the gymnasium, installation of new science labs and prep rooms, renovation of restrooms, installation of new mechanical units and lighting, upgradation of locker rooms, incorporation of a new concession area, and installation of ADA handicap lifts. Additionally, extensive site work was carried out, including constructing new parking lots and driveways.

Complementing the expansive gym are thoughtfully incorporated locker rooms, well-appointed bathrooms, functional offices, and dedicated classroom space, serving as a comprehensive hub for both athletic and academic needs. Utilizing an innovative construction approach, the Athletic Community Center utilizes a hybrid construction method, seamlessly integrating pre-engineered structures with conventional steel frames. This unique approach ensures the structural integrity and longevity of the building while also optimizing construction time and costs. This project was designed by G.L. Charlotte, NC Mecklenburg Community Church Charlotte, NC Completed in 2013, this 60,800 SF project included a new lobby addition, coffee shop, restrooms, storage space, and an extensive renovation to the existing auditorium.

Statesville, NC Iredell Memorial Hospital: Renovations Statesville, NC Construction on Iredell Memorial Hospital began in 1953, marking the start of the first major non-residential project in G.L. Wilson's history. Over the last 70 years, there have been numerous partnerships to meet the needs of the shared Statesville and wider Iredell County community, including several recent renovations at the hospital. The newest IMH project involves multiple patient wing renovations, which include all new interior finishes, upgraded utilities, and nursing stations.
